(8 Jun) foreign mail cancellation at centre, red and white Dairen international registration label with red Hoshigaura local registration label invalidated by blue manuscript "X" above, magenta "Registered" and "Via Siberia" handstamps on address panel, faint arrival backstamp on reverse, the 26s franking paying the 10s international letter rate plus 16s registration fee, tear to reverse, but quite scarce; ex Farquhar Collection of Manchuria. Hoshigaura (Star Beach) was a prestigious seaside resort district of Dairen developed by the South Manchuria Railway.
