1897 "5 dollars" on 3c red, surcharge inverted, unused (regummed), sharp impression and nice color, usual centering, fine. Most surviving examples were soaked or taken off Remittance Certificates, hence they are usually without gum or regummed. A wonderful rarity from Imperial China, with 1965 BPA certificate (signed Robson Lowe) (Catalog value $130,000)
